Riccarda de Eccher (born in 1954) has spent time in the mountains since she was a little girl. In the seventies her passion for the mountains increased, she rock climbed and took part in Himalayan expeditions.
She published, in collaboration with the writer Enrico Maria Pizzarotti, three books: La Cengia Paolina, 2004; Bianco di Neve, 2005; Un Compagno di Cordata, 2006; "Il Bivacco della Pace".
In the winter 2005-2006 she had her first exhibition in Cortina d' Ampezzo, at the Libreria Sovilla.
In August 2007 she exhibited two pieces in the Murer Museum in Falcade on the occasion of the show "Montagne del Cuore".
In September-October 2007 she exhibited in Belluno, at the Auditorium, on the occasion of "Oltre le Vette".
In December 2007-January 2008 she exhibited at the Triest Italian Alpine Club, xxx Ottobre.
In September 2008 she exhibited at the Biblioteca Comunale in Ponte Nelle Alpi.
She lives with her husband and her two children on Long Island (New York).
