A short story often has a fictitious subject where the author enriches with fantasy an experience that he/she really lived or heard about. What is proposed is a peculiar and, in some aspects, disturbing story: the sites are precisely described, timing is absolutely realistic, the protagonists are real as the danger is there.
The mysterious story that takes place in the monumental compound of the Tofane mountains is totally imaginative, but, at the same time, so real to deceive the reader. And, told exactly as it happened to the protagonists along the trail, it appeared only like a simple, yet adventurous report of a hiking day.
